Name a cause of pseudohypertriglyceridaemia?
Glycerol. Coulson L et al. reported a recent case of severe glycerol intoxication resulting in a profoundly elevated osmolar gap, marked pesudohypertriglyceridaemia and status epilepticus. The most commonly used triglyceride assays measure glycerol.
