A proposal to establish a student chapter must be submitted to the AACT Board for consideration and should include a leadership structure, the names of the faculty advisers, officers and at least five other student members. All AACT student chapters will have 1-2 faculty advisors and officers. All advisors must be members of the AACT. Proposals should include an outline of expected activities for the academic year.
The leadership structure should include officers such as a president and a vice-president to serve in the president’s absence. Officers should work with faculty advisers to plan meeting content aligned with the mission and goals of the AACT. Officers shall be elected with a processed agreed upon by the general membership and faculty advisers.
