In a patient with acetaminophen-induced hepatotoxicity, what may the thromboelastography (TEG) show?
In a recent retrospective review of nine patients who were admitted for acetaminophen toxicity to a transplant center, TEG showed a decreased rate of fibrin formation and cross linking as well as decreased clot strength.
