What are "tocochromanols?"
The term tocochromanols is used in reference to the alpha, beta, gamma, and delta forms of tocopherols and tocotrienols. Collectively, these 8 molecules which "consist of a chromanol head group linked to an isoprenoid-derived hydrophobic tail" comprise the vitamin E family of antioxidants. (Hunter, S.C. & Cahoon, E.B.
