What is the most strongly correlated predictor of mortality in Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome?
In a multivariate analysis, the most potent predictor of mortality was acute respiratory failure, with an adjusted odds ration (OR) of 7.1. Age is also an important predictor of mortality; each 10 year increase in age is associated with a 40% increased odds of mortality. (Modi, S., Dharaiya, D., Schultz, L. et al.
