What is the US Pharmacopeia Convention?
The USP Convention is a 200+ year-old non-profit entity with a public health mission to promote safety of drugs, foods, and dietary supplements. The USP establishes standards for quality and purity, performs audits of manufacturing facilities and conducts quality control testing. The USP verified mark assures that the product: contains the ingredients listed on the label in the declared potency and amounts, does not contain any harmful levels of contaminants, will break down properly in the body for absorption, and has been made according to FDA current Good Manufacturing practices using sanitary and well controlled procedures.
