NACCT Planning Committee Announces Virtual Meeting in October 2021
NACCT Main Congress
October 16-18, 2021
The NACCT planning committee has made the difficult decision to move from a hybrid congress to an all-virtual format. The decision was difficult, but with speakers, moderators and poster presenters unable to travel due to the threat of COVID-19 and institutional restrictions, it would be a disservice to the remaining in-person attendees, sponsors and exhibitors to host a conference that would likely result in limited live speakers, and frustration with the low attendance and decreased opportunities to network.
It became clear, a completely virtual model was the best choice to preserve high quality educational content and maintain the personal safety of our members and their families.
Please see instructions below for presenters, session speakers and registrants:
In-Person Registrants
NACCT staff will automatically convert your registration to virtual, and if you registered online with a credit card your refund will be processed and a credit issued in the next two weeks.
If you registered with a group or by mail with a check from your institution, we will convert your registration to virtual and will issue the refund check within 3-4 weeks.
We will also be sending you a new receipt that is updated to the new expense.
Session Speakers/Oral Sessions
We are in the process of reconfiguring the program scheduling and expanding the virtual platform. You will be contacted directly by Chris Hoyte, Annie Arens, or Leigh De La Torre with additional information on pre-recording or live presentations on the virtual platform.
Poster Presenters
Please continue to upload your poster PDFs to the virtual platform and follow the instructions regarding a virtual presentation by being available during the designated timeslot to answer questions in the live chat. We are in the process of attempting to enhance the engagement during these sessions since we no longer have the in-person component. We will continue to update you as improvements are made.
We truly intended to have a hybrid NACCT 2021, because it looked as if the pandemic was improving in the US, but the delta virus wave changed that plan. There still we be excellent symposia, guest and homegrown speakers, poster platforms, and more interactive poster sessions. We appreciate your understanding and support. We look forward to connecting with you all virtually in 2021, with the hope that NACCT 2022 will be in-person.
IMPORTANT: Hyatt Regency Atlanta Hotel Reservation Update:
