I’m most thankful for the personal connections that I’ve made during my military service. The friends and colleagues that I’ve made over the last 20 years are steadfast. They’re always there to help me solve leadership challenges, complex clinical problems, or any other issue that arises. Not every day has been easy, but we work together and help each other keep moving forward.
This photo is of me with some physician colleagues (actually two of my USUHS medical school classmates) at a US military hospital in Afghanistan in 2017.
