In an attempt to identify which patients may be at higher risk for developing trichloroethylene hypersensitivity syndrome, miRNAs were evaluated to assess disease susceptibility. Which miRNAs were associated with occupational THS?
As discussed in yesterday’s QOD, THS has a significant case fatality rate and the majority of THS cases have been reported in China. Liu W et al. sought to identify THS-related miRNAs and evaluate the potential clinical value. They found that serum levels of miR-21-5p and miR-339-5p were associated with occupational THS.
