The AACT Regional Representative Program is a strategic initiative to extend AACT’s reach, foster regional collaboration, and promote its mission across key global territories. Regional Representatives serve as formal liaisons between AACT and allied professional societies in clinical toxicology, emergency medicine, and pharmacy.

Program Objectives

  • Engagement: Increase visibility and activity of AACT in regional toxicology, emergency medicine, and pharmacy communities.
  • Collaboration: Foster cooperation with regional professional societies, enhance educational programming, and explore joint initiatives.
  • Outreach: Serve as regional contacts for prospective members and promote AACT membership and events.
  • Representation: Ensure consistent AACT representation and messaging at regional and international events.

Roles & Responsibilities

Regional Representatives are expected to:

Representation & Advocacy

  • Represent AACT at designated regional meetings (clinical toxicology, emergency medicine, or pharmacy) annually.
  • Deliver AACT updates and presentations when invited by the AACT Education Committee or Board of Trustees.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local and regional professional societies.

Outreach & Engagement

  • Promote regional and international AACT events and encourage attendance.
  • Respond to inquiries from prospective AACT members and serve as a point of contact within the region.
  • Collect insights and feedback from regional events and share them with the AACT Education Committee to support program development.

Program Participation

  • Submit annual reports summarizing activities, key contacts, meetings attended, and engagement opportunities.
  • Maintain an up-to-date record of regional society meetings and AACT representation activities.
