What is TEG in reference to hemostasis?
TEG, or thromboelastography is a measure of platelet function traditionally measured in the setting of bleeding associated with surgical procedures. A cited reference suggests that it may have utility in envenomation associated coagulopathy as a measure independent of PT/PTT and thrombocyte count. (Kang, A.M. & Fisher, E.S. J. Med. Toxicol.
