What is one of the toxins that the Blue-capped ifrita has?
Homobatrachotoxin. The blue-capped ifrita belongs to the family I. Kowaldi and analysis of its skin and feathers revealed the toxic alkaloid, homobatrachotoxin. Addtional studies have shown that both I. kowaldi and Pitohuis contain a series of batrachotoxins.
