In a recent publication, this novel ‘nitazene’ was recently identified in 3 patients at a single site over a three day period.
Calello DP et al. recently reported 3 cases in a 3 day period of N-piperidinyl etonitazene. This novel nitazene had not yet been identified in previous cases. This novel class of opioids is increasing and routine testing for these novel opioids is not readily available.
