December 23, 2021
Happy Holidays from Virginia Commonwealth University Health System, the Virginia Poison Center and Richmond, VA to all the AACT membership! I hope you can find some time to enjoy the splendor of the season in between the hustle and bustle. Share your holiday pictures by sending them to admin@clintox.org and we will post them.
Reflecting on 2021, I am proud of the service the AACT has provided for our membership. Despite COVID quarantines, illness, lockdowns, isolation, travel bans, variants, overwhelmed hospital systems and exhausted healthcare workers, we have managed to come together the best that we can and maintain our AACT community. The AACT is distinctive because our advancement is directly related to what our members give to each other every day. Remember you don’t have to renew membership in December anymore, but please don’t forget your tax-deductible gift to the AACT before 2021 ends.
NACCT 2021 is available on the AACT website for you to continue to enjoy and obtain CME. The AACT mobile application should be your go-to resource for news, the latest Clinical Toxicology articles, and communication and collaboration with your colleagues. There will continue to be more and more opportunities for service and leadership opportunities in teaching and research in 2022, so stay tuned.
Safe travels to your holiday destinations and relish your time with friends and family. I am looking forward to seeing you all face-to-face sometime in 2022. And remember, if you find yourself in an ugly sweater, get some help from your local AACT superhero.
Best wishes for a Happy Holiday and a Successful New Year!
