Question - What is so-called “bee venom therapy”?
Answer- The cited article notes “Bee venom therapy (BVT) is the therapeutic application of bee venom (BV) into the body for the treatment of diseases, which has been used in oriental traditional medicine since 1000e3000 BCE.” These authors go on to note “As a complementary and alternative medicine approach, BVT is applied by directly bee sting or injection of BV which are extracted by electric stimulus. At the beginning, the use of BVT is based on the fact that bee keepers (who often get stung) are very rarely suffering from arthritis or troubles with their joints and muscle.” (Zhang S et al.
