NACCT invites abstract submissions related to the field of clinical toxicology. Individuals practicing in clinical toxicology are encouraged to submit, including trainees. Presenting your abstract is a rewarding experience that allows you to exercise your skills and share your knowledge with others in the field of clinical toxicology.
NACCT is accepting abstracts on the following topics:
- Adverse Drug Events/Therapeutic Misadventures
- Basic Science and Decontamination
- Drugs of Abuse, Ethanol, Addiction Medicine
- Envenomations
- Epidemiology & Forensic Toxicology
- Intentional Overdose
- Medical Toxicology Training/Education/Practices
- Medication Errors
- Natural Toxins & Dietary Supplements
- Occupational & Environmental Toxicology
- Poison Center Management & Education/Prevention/Public Health
- Radiation and WMD
- Toxicology Labs and Diagnostic Testing
- Unintentional Overdose & Pediatric Toxicology
- Other
All abstracts will be reviewed for oral or poster presentations. The abstract committee will select the abstracts for Platform Presentations, Lightning Oral Sessions, and the Fellow-in Training Session. Authors will be notified at the time of abstract acceptance if their submission was accepted for presentation. Only submitting authors will receive correspondence regarding abstract decisions. Notification emails will be sent mid to late June
The deadline for symposia submission is April 1st, 2026 at 11:59 pm EST. Notifications regarding scientific symposium selections will be sent after April 14th, 2026.
Symposia proposals must include:

- Brief bio
- CV
- Title of the session
- A brief summary of the session content
- Requested time allotment (30 - 50 minutes)
- Speaker information
- Full name

- Moderators (If you have not determined moderators at the time of submission you can enter TBD)
- Three learning objectives
- Practice gap(s) that this session will address: describe the current state (what learners know and do) and the desired state (what learners should know and do)
- What the expert, guideline, research or other says that supports the need
- Name of expert/guideline/research
- Target audience: physicians, pharmacists, advance practice providers, nurses, educators, researchers, etc.
- Level of Educational content: general, intermediate or advanced
- Learning Assessment description:
- Definition - evaluation that healthcare professionals have improved their knowledge, skills, competence, or performance after an educational activity
- Can be formative (ongoing feedback during the learning process) or summative (a final evaluation at the end of the activity)
- Examples:

- Written reports, essays, or summaries
