Keeping Up With the Novichoks: Newer Chemical WMD Threats and the Status of Field Planning and Response

Description:
This webinar will review Chemical WMD agents, historical events, and specifically the 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation nerve agents, highlighting advances of 4th generation agents and the associated threats. Event planning and response updates including Primary Response Incident Scene Management (PRISM) and other new decontamination strategies will be presented as well as detection device capabilities. In addition, interagency coordination will be discussed. The session will inform toxicologists of current community in-field planning and response, and better prepare them for subsequent hospital-based care of chemical WMD and other hazmat casualties.
