Supporting and increasing the diversity, equity and inclusion of members of the toxicology community is paramount. However, so is increasing our knowledge of the diverse patient populations so that we are providing equitable and inclusive care. The first half of the symposium will cover content related to the disabled patient, alternative medicine use, toxicological skin manifestations on darker skin, and hormone toxicities in transgender patients. The second half will focus on diversity, equity and inclusion, in the Medical Toxicology specialty. Join the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology (AACT) as we explore this crucial topic together.
