This one-day course, instructed by the dynamic faculty from the NYU Ronald O. Perelman Department of Emergency Medicine and the New York City Poison Control Center, is intended for learners of all backgrounds who have an interest in the exciting world of medical toxicology. The course will offer participants the opportunity to engage in challenging interactive clinical scenarios that will help them understand the unique effects of how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the poisoning throughout New York City. Through this course, the learners will be exposed to common toxins and learn the approach to the evaluation and treatment of the acutely poisoned patient.
