The purpose of the Herbs & Dietary Supplements Special Interest Group (SPIG)
is to foster the interest of its members in the study of herbs and dietary supplements
through an exchange of ideas, resources, and expertise. |

Occupational/ Environmental |

The Occupational and Environmental Toxicology SIG serves to unite members of the
American Academy of Clinical Toxicology with an interest in the epidemiology, diagnosis,
and treatment of diseases and conditions associated with exposure to environmental
toxicants. Potential members include physician toxicologists with backgrounds in
Occupational Medicine, Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine, Poison Center personnel,
nurses and pharmacists. |

The goal of the Forensic Toxicology Special Interest Group (ForTSIG) is to provide a membersí forum for the discussion of ideas and problems as they relate to forensic topics in clinical toxicology. |

Envenomations |

The goal of the AACT Envenomations Special Interest Group (ENVSIG) is to serve as a forum for AACT members with an interest in venomous animals and envenomations. |

Pediatric |

The Purpose of PTIG is to foster the interest of its members in any and all childhood
and adolescent toxicology related topics. The PTIG intends to be a source of subject
matter expertise within the AACT with an interest in, responsibility for and conern
about pediatric poisonings. |

Radiation |

The purpose of the Radiation SIG is to foster knowledge of its members in the study of radiation toxicology through an exchange of ideas, resources, and expertise. Areas of interest include biological and health effects of radiation from an environmental, occupational, or medical origin. Additionally the RSIG is committed to enhance the role of toxicologists in preparedness and response to accidental or intentional radiological incidents. |

The WMD SIG will regularly provide a list of timely abstracts of interest to our
members. While not exhaustive, every effort will be made to provide a valuable cross
section of information from basic science to applied clinical care and preparedness. |

Acute & Intensive Care (AIC) |

The Acute and Intensive Care Special Interest Group has been actively providing educational symposia at NACCT since 1997 and has been a forum for those interested in acute care, emergency and critical care toxicology for many years prior. |
